It was 28th or 29th November, Uzzal Bhai (Tourist of Bangladesh) phoned me and informed that they are arranging a cycle rally from their Club "Kewkradong" and Travel Agency "Delta Outdoors". This rally they were arranging at "World Aids Day" to increase public awareness on AIDS. He asked me if I will join with them to cycle to NARAYANGANJ. CYCLING is all I love. So, I asked him the schedule of the program.

At morning 8 o'clock of December 1st, I phone Uzzal Bhai to know where they are. He asked me to be in front of their office and from thier they will leave for Dhaka National Stadium. When I reached Zigatola in front of their office within 15 minutes there was no one.

So, I head for National Stadium. On my way I phone to Uzzal Bhai again and he told me that he is cycling for GPO where the whole team is waiting. At the crossing of "Matshay Bhaban" I overtake Rifat. When I was very close to GPO I saw Uzzal bhai to reach GPO a few seconds before me. The whole team was there. Imran of "Kewkradong" gave me a T-shirt and a red cap to wear. We changed our dresses in front of GPO.

Then we went inside the boundary of National Stadium. Imran Gave us a breafing about the rally. It was a team of 15 person with 8 cyclist and 7 skater. Uzzal Bhai dropped himself from the team due to some urgent work. David Barikder (Photographer of the newspaper "The Daily Star") was there to photograph our rally from a car. I met Salman (He was among the team of Bangladeshi to reach Saint Martin Island from Teknaf by swimming under the supervision of Hamid Uncle), Hira (A new fellow) and some other persons. We started at about 9 o'clock. After reaching the restaurant "Deshbonhu" at Hatkhola, we took our breakfast. Then we start cycling and skating towards Narayanganj. We stopped at various places for snacks and rests. After the Floating Restaurant of Pagla Ghat we stopped for a long time in stone-crushers complex. I took two photo there with all the skaters & Salman.

A few interactions with the local people was also done on the way. The whole team reached at Narayanganj Police Club about 12:30 of the day. Imran told us that our rally is finished here and everyone can leave the team if they wish. He also added that he is going to rent a pick-up for us to drop at Dhaka. I said goodbye to the skaters who were interested to leave by themselves. Then I went to say the prayer of Johor. After finishing my prayers I went back to the Club. By that time they had arranged the pick-up and we placed our cycle on back of it.

Seven of us ride on the pick-up while rest of the team ride on the private car which was used for our photographer. After entering Dhaka Nazrul and Salman (Two cyclists) left us. We reached at the office of "Delta-Outdoors" very soon. Soon Salman and the photographer also arrived there. We took a late lunch and sit for a rest. After sitting for some moments I left them for my home and ride on my cycle. Pictures used for the blog was taken by my camera. To view pictures in high resolution click below
